Hi everybody ! Welcome to my blog !
I have to write some words during this year because we have a project in the school.
These thoughts  are about the oil scarcity in our world, and what will happen if that valuable energy  suddenly finishes  ...
Will we need to use another type of energy ?? Maybe clean energy
What do you think ?

  1. Hello Camino,
In my opinion it is highly unlikely that we will finish all the oil globally within the next decades. As you may know, as the price rises, there are more oil reserves coming to be economically profitable and so more useful oil reserves come up; oilfields which are deeper, or below harder rocks, or in places where is more difficult to reach.
Anyway, it is a fact that global demand of energy is rising up very quickly due to the fast development of some big countries like China, India or Brazil, and there are more to come when Africa also develops.
So inevitably the years of wasting energy are over, and we must be ready for a hard competition for energy in the future, and that makes it necessary to begin now (in fact, we should have started long time ago) to search for and find new energy resources.
And the cleanest, cheapest and easiest way to have more energy available is to save as much energy as possible. This is something every one of us can do. We do not need to be Einstein to save energy. It is only a matter of small gestures in our day to day life, by turning off unnecessary lights, keeping the temperature at home between some reasonable margins, reducing our waste of plastics and glass by reusing as much as possible, etc.
And also we must promote and support the search for new technologies to produce cleaner and affordable useful energy, keeping a balanced portfolio of energy resources.
But with smart and conscious children like you, the future is more encouraging and promising.

  2. Hi Camino,
My comment is not going to be so professional as the previous one, but I will try to do my bit.
I am sure that neither my eyes, not even yours will suffer a lack of oil supply, and what makes me really sad is that at least my eyes will not see the development of Africa. I hope yours do.
Regarding renewable energy, fortunately your generation is more than aware of the need of recycling, but on the other hand in some councils, after families have made an effort separating litter at home and depositing it in recycling bins, their personnel mix garbage in the garbage truck. A shame!
Anyway, my son is precisely researching for renewable energy at college. I will also ask him to write his opinion on you fantastic blog.
Share my congratulations with your classmates and teacher. The blog is a great initiative.

  3. Hello camino, I'm actually agree with Beatriz.
Renewable energy is the future and we have to face it. Last years we've been using too much oil for everything and it's not going to be this way for ever.
Since our other way of producing powerful energy, which is nuclear energy, is not clean and safe, the last chance we have is renewable energy.
By the moment, there are a lot of projects but they're all very expensive en not efficient (like carpets that capture cars movement and generate electricity or other stuff like intelligent braking for wheels in movement).
I hope to see, in a very short future, changes about this situation. I'll try myself to develop cheap and efficient systems in order to replace oil from our life.

    Good luck with the blog.
